I’ll Take Bridge for a Thousand, Alex
Collegiate Bridge Bowl players enjoyed a brunch co-hosted by James Holzhauer of Jeopardy fame and the ACBL Educational Foundation.
More than 50 college students met James, learned about his experiences at the bridge table, and asked him questions about his record-breaking run on the popular game show. He was also asked about his career as a sports bettor and his favorite conventions in bridge (puppet Stayman, in case you were wondering).
Topps, manufacturer of baseball and other trading cards, minted Holtzhauer cards recognizing James’s Jeopardy celebrity and James provided five autographed cards as door prizes.
James also stopped by the closing award ceremony of the Youth NABC. He let the kids know how inspired he is by their passion. The kids, in turn, got a chance to ask questions and pose for pictures. Five more autographed cards were distributed as door prizes.
